How the privacy screen is organized

PositiveSingles splits its fourteen privacy controls into two groups on the Settings screen. The profile group is the larger of the two, eleven controls that govern who can see your profile at all: your current location, your city, your gender or relationship type, the region or age range you’re visible to. The activity group holds the remaining three and covers what your actions reveal rather than the profile itself, things like your online status and what shows up when you post in Moments. Two of the eleven profile-group controls are free; one of the three activity-group controls is free.

That split matters when you’re deciding what to change first.

What’s free

Three controls cost nothing on any plan. Hide my current location removes your location from your profile. Hide me from all members takes your profile out of search and browsing for every other member, the most complete of the three. Browse profiles anonymously is the third, and the same screen marks it Not recommended

Hide me from all members and the Help and FAQ don’t fully agree with each other. The FAQ’s entry on hiding your profile, updated April 23, 2026, ends: Please note that only premium members can hide their profiles. The settings screen itself, read from a free account on September 21, 2026, shows Hide me from all members as free. The screen is the more recent read of the two; this page doesn’t try to resolve the discrepancy beyond noting it.

A hidden profile doesn’t cut you off from conversations already underway. PositiveSingles’ FAQ is specific about that: Yes, even if your profile is hidden, you can still send and receive messages from members with visible profiles. This feature allows you to maintain privacy while staying active in conversations, ensuring a discreet and flexible experience on our platform.

If not appearing to other members at all is the goal, Hide me from all members does that without carrying a warning label. Reach for Browse profiles anonymously only if quieter browsing matters more to you than the platform’s own caution about it.

Every control, free or Premium

What happens when Premium ends

Premium settings don’t stay Premium forever. PositiveSingles states it plainly on the same screen: Premium-only settings will be restored to default when your Premium Membership expires. That covers all eleven Premium-only controls in the table above, not just a couple of them: hiding your city, narrowing visibility by gender or age.

If a plan lapses, whoever those controls were hiding you from becomes able to see your profile again, on whatever the free defaults are. Worth checking your settings the day a plan ends rather than assuming they held.

Pausing instead of deleting

Deleting isn’t the only way to step back. PositiveSingles’ own note on the settings screen reads: You can pause your account to hide your profile and photos from others without deleting your account. Pausing and deleting sit at the very bottom of Settings, under Account Management, as the same entry.

Pausing doesn’t pause billing. A separate FAQ entry on freezing a Premium membership is direct about that: At present, we do not allow freezing of your premium MEMBERSHIP. A Premium plan keeps charging on its normal schedule while a profile is paused; cancelling it is a separate step, done from Settings under Subscriptions.

Three more switches, and hidden members

Three further switches live under Settings rather than the privacy screen itself. Enable Global Visibility, once turned on, makes you and members in other countries who have also turned it on visible to each other; leave it off and that cross-country visibility doesn’t happen. Verified Members Only works the other way: switch it on and only verified members can message, like or otherwise interact with you. Prevent Incoming Video & Voice Calls is the third, and the same name sits on the Premium privileges list too: Prevent Incoming Video & Voice Calls is one of the 41 privileges there.

A separate Hidden Members section groups three entries: Manage Hidden Users, Members I’ve Hidden From Search, and Hidden Conversations. The Help and FAQ draws a real distinction between the two ideas behind them: Hidden from my search: This means you won’t see this user in the search results page. They’ll still be able to see your profile and be able to communicate with you though. The stronger action goes further: Hide: Both parties will be unable to contact each other, will not appear in each other’s search results, and will not be able to view each other’s videos, updates, activities, or other posts.

The Privacy SafeGuarder™ promise

Privacy SafeGuarder™ is PositiveSingles’ own name for a non-disclosure term in its End User Service Agreement, not a Settings toggle. The page is subtitled Exclusive Benefits Beyond Standard Membership The clause itself binds members, not the platform: Unlike any other dating company, our End User Service Agreement forbids disclosing other members’ personal information FOR THE LIFETIME of the disclosing party. It’s a promise other members make about what they learn about you, not a statement about what PositiveSingles itself shares.

The scope is broad. It covers financial details, sexual orientation, sex life and health information, among other things, and rules out disclosure for any commercial, retaliatory, revenge-driven, or publicity-related purpose The clause reaches beyond the site too: it also applies to offline interactions, including in-person coffee meetings

PositiveSingles presents this as a Premium benefit, not just a policy.
